Art Bridge for Solidarity: MAEC Launches a New Global Artistic Initiative for Peace and Human Rights

Rome, 3rd December – In an era marked by conflict, global tensions, and forced migration, art stands as a universal language capable of uniting cultures, breaking down barriers, and amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard. With this vision, the Mediterranean Aid Education Center (MAEC) is proud to present Art Bridge for Solidarity, an extraordinary online project that brings together the works of artists and photographers from around the world with a single goal: to promote peace, dialogue, and awareness of social justice and humanitarian issues.

Inspired by prestigious cultural events such as the Venice Biennale, Art Bridge for Solidarity puts the spotlight on both established artists and emerging talents who often struggle to find a platform to express their creativity. Through paintings, photographs, sculture, and other forms of expression, this initiative tells stories of hope, resilience, migration, and climate change inviting the audience to reflect on the complexity of global challenges and the potential of art as a tool for social transformation. At the heart of this exhibition is a special focus on refugee and stateless artists, whose talents often remain invisible due to social and geopolitical barriers.

Art Bridge for Solidarity aims to give these voices visibility, creating a bridge between their experiences and a global audience. The initiative also aims to be more than just an exhibition: it serves as a platform for discussion and reflection. These moments of engagement invite the public to view art not only as an aesthetic medium but also as a vehicle for change and action. Part of the proceeds from Art Bridge for Solidarity will be allocated to implement MAEC’s humanitarian projects, supporting initiatives that promote social inclusion, education, and assistance for refugees and stateless individuals.

These funds will also be used for other priority causes, contributing to building a more equitable world where art is a driver of progress and solidarity. MAEC invites the public to explore this extraordinary collection, support the project, and join a global network of individuals and institutions who believe in the power of art to inspire tangible change. Art Bridge for Solidarity is a call to collective responsibility, an invitation to see the world with new eyes, and to build a future where creativity and empathy are the foundation of every action.
